Daily Greek Proverb Review: Nov. 8

This is the last review post! We've gone over all the proverbs from the past six weeks, and I'll start up with new proverbs next week. Each proverb below is linked to the blog post where it first appeared so that you can consult the English translation and commentary as needed, and also listen to the audio if you like. Plus you can find all 500 proverbs and all the audio at the blog, along with all the review Padlets that display the proverbs at random week by week, including the translation and commentary.

  1. Ἵππου γῆρας.
  2. Ὄνος ἐν πιθήκοις.
  3. Δακρυόεν γελάσασα.
  4. Πρεσβύτερον σέβου.
  5. Μικρὸς ἡλίκος Μόλων.
  6. Κοσκίνῳ ὕδωρ ἀντλεῖς.
  7. Τὸ τεχνίον πᾶσα γαῖα τρέφει.
  8. Ψυχῆς νοσούσης ἐστὶ φάρμακον λόγος.
  9. Βουλὴ πονηρὰ χρηστὸν οὐκ ἔχει τέλος.
  10. Μήτηρ ἁπάντων γαῖα καὶ κοινὴ τροφός.
